High School Teacher of Mathematics

Cayman Prep & High School - Secondary is the high school division of Cayman Prep and High School (CPHS), a private, co-educational institution owned and operated by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Located at 559 Walkers Road in George Town, Grand Cayman, it serves students from Year 7 to Year 13 (ages approximately 11 to 18) on a separate campus from the primary school. The curriculum follows the British National Curriculum, culminating in internationally recognized qualifications including IGCSE and GCSE in Years 10-11 through Cambridge International Examinations and the Welsh Joint Examination Council, followed by AS and A Levels. The program emphasizes differentiated instruction, broad subject choices, career advice, and personal, social, and ethical education to foster critical creative thinkers and responsible citizens. CPHS enrolls nearly 500 high school students across Years 7-13, with about 75 students per year group divided into smaller classes (typically 8-18 students) supported by learning assistants in core subjects. Established in 1949, the school is rooted in Christian principles and received a "Good" rating in the October 2023 OES inspection, with "Excellent" marks for student attitudes, support, outcomes, environmental education, and community links. Students achieved exceptional results in the May-June 2025 external examinations.
