About This Role

As our Welfare Officer, you will take the lead on first aid and welfare across the school. You will:

Provide front line first aid and welfare support to pupils and staff
Assess and respond appropriately to medical and welfare needs
Support pupils with ongoing medical conditions in line with their Health Care Plans
Administer medication safely and maintain accurate medical records
Communicate with parents, carers and colleagues regarding pupil welfare and medical needs
Monitor and record attendance
Maintain records and reports, including those required for statutory purposes
Support the wider administration of the school
Help us maintain a safe, happy and supportive environment for everyone

This is a role that combines care, responsibility and organisation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a busy school environment and wants to make a genuine difference to children’s lives.

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident, approachable and caring
Highly organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
Positive, proactive and solution-focused
A clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
Able to build strong and positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
Comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive team
Ideally experienced in working within a school or similar environment

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential. What matters most to us is that you have the right attitude, a caring approach and the confidence to deal with a wide range of situations.

A current First Aid qualification is desirable. If you do not currently hold one, we can arrange appropriate training for the successful candidate.

Compensation

£20,740.00 - £23,057.00 Annually (Actual) Term time only
