Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree
- A valid teaching certificate recognized by or eligible for certification in Nunavut (Internationally educated teachers without a Canadian teaching certificate must have their credentials evaluated through Pathways To Teach Canada)
Desired Qualifications
Candidates need not meet every qualification; relevant experience and a commitment to community-centered education are highly valued.
Language and Cultural Assets
- Proficient in Inuktitut (both spoken and written)
- Experience supporting education rooted in Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit
- Background in bilingual or ESL teaching settings
- Experience teaching in cross-cultural or northern Canada environments

- Training or experience in evidence-based literacy strategies
