About This Role

School Lunchtime Supervisor

We are looking to recruit Midday Supervisors at our Mead End Site. The appointed persons will be responsible, during the lunchtime break, for the supervision, safety, general welfare and proper conduct of children.

Main duties/responsibilities to include:

Setting up and clearing away the dining areas of any tables and chairs.

Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed.

The supervision of the children's entry into the dining room.

Assisting children where necessary to carry trays to tables and to return empty dishes to the service counter.

Supervision of children in the playground or other area of the school as required, dealing with any incidents of inappropriate behaviour in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy.

Ensuring dining areas are clean and tidy.

Organising play/games as appropriate.

Assisting children who are unwell.

Are prepared to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.

Have a commitment to the importance of play.

Have a good understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and the principles of inclusion.

Can develop, lead and work as part of a dynamic and committed team.

Hours available: Monday - Friday, term time + 1 day

Available hours are 1 hour a day, with hours between the times of 12:20pm - 1:20pm and 12:35pm - 1:35pm.

Contract: Permanent - start date ASAP

Salary: 1D Point 2 - £12.65 per hour
