About This Role

SNA-HCMC is seeking a qualified and experienced MYP/DP Design (Product Design) Teacher to start in AUGUST 2026. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience teaching the MYP. Participation in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) is expected as we continue to enhance our CCA program.

It is important for candidates to recognize that SNA-HCMC is a member of CIS and holds full accreditation from WASC, prioritizing safeguarding and child protection in the recruitment process. In line with this, SNA-HCMC adheres to the UN Convention on the Rights of The Child. Candidates must be able to provide appropriate background checks, and if they do not currently have these, we strongly recommend utilizing the ISS-Schroles 'verify' facility, as we cannot process applications without these documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquaint oneself with and adhere to SNA school policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Embrace and advocate for IB teaching and learning approaches (ATL’s) in daily instruction.
  • Exemplify the attributes of the IB learner profile.
  • Support students during the MYP/DP exhibition as needed.
  • Collaborate in grade-level, cross-curricular, and cross-program meetings to enhance the written and taught curriculum.
  • Commit to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Regularly communicate with department members regarding planning, assessment, parent engagement, and classroom management issues, including behavior expectations and routines.
  • Work together with other school staff to foster social and emotional awareness.
  • Actively engage in managing behavior and providing pastoral care for homeroom and other class groups.
  • Attend and contribute positively to staff meetings.
  • Supervise student breaks when required.
  • Organize class activities as needed.
  • Maintain current records of assessments, attendance, planning, reports, and parent communications through ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
  • Build connections with the parent community to keep them informed about student learning.
  • Serve as a resource and support for new staff members concerning curriculum, schedules, and procedures.
  • Participate in and assist with school events as needed and fulfill any additional tasks assigned by the MYP Coordinator.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Technology Design/Product Design and a recognized teaching certificate. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in IB/international school environments.
  • Strong understanding of the IB MYP/DP frameworks and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a variety of learners.
  • Effective classroom management and student supervision abilities.
  • Proficient in incorporating technology and digital tools into lesson delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Creative, collaborative, and proactive in contributing to school activities and CCAs.
  • Commitment to child safeguarding and ability to provide valid background checks.
  • Willingness to engage in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.

The compensation package is highly competitive and includes:
