Humanities Teacher
About This Role
Doha Academy is an expanding network of schools located in the vibrant capital city of Qatar. Established in 2000, the Academy currently encompasses three schools, providing a KG-13 educational program based on the British curriculum and the Qatar national curriculum. The mission of the Academy is to cultivate outward-looking, lifelong learners through a comprehensive educational experience that respects and incorporates local cultural values and traditions.
As an ambitious organization governed by Al Faleh Educational Holding, which includes AFG College in partnership with the University of Aberdeen, Doha Academy offers excellent career advancement opportunities for staff who are ambitious, innovative, and focused on student success.
As the group grows, we are eager to connect with qualified and experienced educators for whom teaching is a true calling. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in your teaching subject, a recognized initial teacher training qualification is required. We encourage early applications.
Interviews will be conducted either in person in Doha or online for international candidates.
This is an exciting moment to join the Academy. In early 2022, Doha Academy received full Qatar National Schools’ Accreditation (QNSA) and achieved full international accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in November 2022. The Academy has also embarked on its highest "ACE Learning" pathway.
The school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and it expects all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment.
