Established in 1894, Oporto British School is recognized as the oldest British School on mainland Europe. The school follows the English National Curriculum up to Key Stage 3, advancing to Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme thereafter. The Position

We are looking for a Teaching & Learning Assistant to join our highly effective team, providing classroom support, individualized assistance, and small group interventions for students in the Secondary Section. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member with a strong commitment to enhancing student learning and wellbeing.

This role is located within the Secondary phase. It is essential to have experience supporting learners up to school-leaving age, and familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme is desirable.

The preferred candidate will:

· Be equipped to assist in one or more curriculum subjects (e.g., maths, science, languages) and possess the ability to present concepts in a clear and comprehensible manner;

· Be adept at facilitating small group interventions or revision sessions;

· Effectively utilize classroom technologies, learning platforms, and basic digital tools;

· Track student progress and provide accurate feedback to teachers;

· Encourage positive behavior and consistently uphold school policies;
