About This Role

We are seeking to appoint Class Teachers for positions starting in August 2025. Ideal candidates will possess a deep enthusiasm for primary education and the capability to implement diverse teaching methods that inspire and motivate students to engage in learning. You should be adept at crafting lessons that ignite a passion for success in children and have comprehensive knowledge of the English National Curriculum, alongside a strong commitment to achieving high educational standards.

In your role as a Class Teacher, you will be tasked with planning, preparing, and delivering exceptional lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, and contributing to the realization of Doha College’s vision and mission.

As a British international school, all instruction is conducted in English, necessitating a high standard of both written and spoken English. We expect you to actively contribute to the school’s vision in all areas, including co-curricular activities.

Doha College stands as one of the premier British International Schools globally. Proudly operating as a not-for-profit institution, we have been recognized among the top hundred private schools worldwide in both the Spear’s School Index and the Carfax Index, being the only school from Qatar to feature in these rankings. Our (I)GCSE and A-Level examination results are consistently among the highest for schools of our kind on an international scale.

We offer our teaching staff one of the most attractive compensation packages available in the Middle East, which includes a competitive tax-free salary, an accommodation allowance sufficient for high-quality housing in desirable expatriate neighborhoods, medical insurance, school fee assistance covering 75% of fees for up to three children, annual flight allowances, a generous settling-in allowance, and an end-of-service gratuity.

Our dedication to supporting your professional journey is matched by our commitment to your well-being, featuring an innovative instructional coaching model that helps educators of all experience levels continue their development to reach their full potential. Additionally, we provide a thorough induction and orientation program to help new staff transition smoothly into their international roles. Our on-site crèche for primary-aged children supports working parents, and staff representation on our Board of Governors helps influence the school’s strategic direction.

The vibrant international student body at our school is a joy to work with, and our progressive approach encourages everyone to bring innovative ideas and a readiness to explore new initiatives.

If you are eager to join our inspiring team, which values your personal and professional development while committing to the highest standards, positivity, kindness, and warmth, we look forward to receiving your application.

Qatar offers a unique blend of traditional hospitality and modern sophistication, making it a remarkable destination, with Doha as a city that caters to all tastes. With stunning natural landscapes and a variety of sports and adventure activities, whether moving with family or individually, you will be welcomed warmly.

In return, our tax-free salary and benefits package is recognized as one of the best in the Middle East. This comprehensive remuneration includes an accommodation allowance, medical insurance, school fee support (75% of fees for up to three children), an annual flight allowance (one return flight per year to a home location), a settling-in allowance, and an end-of-service gratuity. Additionally, our extensive induction and orientation program is designed to assist new staff in effectively managing the challenges of an international relocation.

Recognizing the importance of recruiting and retaining top talent, we provide significant professional development opportunities. Doha College has its own CPD academy and offers accredited training across the institution at all levels.
