Job Overview
The role focuses on providing outstanding instruction in Physics at the AS/A Level, while also contributing to the overall curriculum through KS3 Science and Mathematics. The educator will promote critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, ensuring that students develop a strong foundation in both scientific and mathematical principles.
Key Responsibilities
• Instruct students in Physics at the AS/A Level, preparing them for their external assessments
• Teach KS3 Science and Mathematics, ensuring students gain a solid foundational understanding
• Create and deliver engaging, hands-on, and concept-driven lessons
• Utilize various assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback
• Assist in laboratory sessions while ensuring safe and effective practical lessons
• Contribute to curriculum development within the Science and Mathematics departments
• Participate in extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with students and their parents
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position at an international school
• A valid teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent certification
• Familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum
• Native English speaker or possess exceptional proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to Values-based Education and Inquiry Learning
• Experience teaching AS/A Level Physics, as well as Science and Mathematics
