Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking an outstanding and committed Humanities (Global Perspective) Teacher. This position is designed to ensure that all teaching staff at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) comply with the UK Teaching Standards (TS), while also aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural standards set by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). Key responsibilities include delivering engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting both academic and personal growth. Staff are expected to maintain professional conduct, work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively contribute to the school community. Additionally, they must ensure that all teaching practices, curriculum plans, and resources align with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also includes supporting ongoing professional development for staff, upholding school policies, and promoting student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, the goal is to cultivate a positive, respectful, and effective learning atmosphere that supports the growth of both students and educators.

- Create and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learner needs.

- Plan and implement curriculum content that is in line with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.

- Effectively utilize assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes respect and collaboration.

- Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support learning.

- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and relevant stakeholders regarding academic performance.
