Special Education Technician (Visually Impaired Students)
About This Role
Kativik School Board is seeking to hire a Special Education Technician for Visually Impaired Students for three positions. These roles are based in various locations throughout Nunavik, with a salary ranging from $27.72 to $33.26 per hour, commensurate with experience.
The selected candidates will be expected to work from August 15, 2023, until June 30, 2024. Key responsibilities include assisting teachers in providing educational support to visually impaired students, implementing individualized education plans, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Applicants must possess a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Special Education or a related field. Experience working with visually impaired individuals, along with knowledge of advanced technology and adaptive materials, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in both English and French are essential.
