About This Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science educator to take on the role of Subject Progress Lead – Science within our team. This position is perfect for a teacher who is eager to impact school-wide practices, assist colleagues, and promote student advancement within the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with curriculum leaders to elevate student achievement and improve teaching methodologies.
  • Oversee and implement support strategies for students in Science.
  • Analyze performance data to guide interventions and track progress.
  • Contribute to strategic planning aimed at enhancing teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate professional development through coaching, CPD initiatives, and learning observations.
  • Establish and uphold high standards of teaching, sharing best practices across the department.
  • Create monitoring reports and assess the effectiveness of support programs.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, senior leadership team, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Assist with the daily operations and resource management of the department.
  • Serve as a form tutor and engage in broader pastoral care initiatives.
