We are looking for an exceptional and inspiring Head of Faculty – Art & Design Technology to lead and grow a dynamic and innovative department across all key stages. This position encompasses both teaching and middle leadership duties, with the successful candidate expected to actively teach Art and Design Technology while delivering outstanding lessons that foster creativity, innovation, and excellence within the faculty.

About you:

We seek a leader who:

• Holds a relevant degree in Art, Design, or a related field, along with a PGCE (or equivalent) and QTS.

• Has a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning in Art and/or Design Technology, achieving excellent student outcomes across key stages.

• Demonstrates the ability to balance strategic leadership with an active teaching role, exhibiting exemplary classroom practices.

• Provides a clear vision and direction for the faculty, ensuring a high-quality, progressive curriculum that fosters creativity, innovation, and skill development.

• Leads, mentors, and develops a team of Art and Design Technology educators, cultivating a collaborative, high-performing, and accountable culture.

• Is passionate about nurturing creative thinking, problem-solving, and design skills, inspiring students to explore and innovate.

• Enhances a rich and inclusive co-curricular program, including exhibitions, showcases, competitions, and enrichment activities.

• Is forward-thinking and embraces technology, digital tools, and emerging trends to enhance learning in Art and Design Technology.

• Effectively utilizes data and assessments to monitor progress and elevate achievement across the faculty.
