Northview International School (NVIS) is seeking a passionate and student-oriented Middle School Science Teacher to join our growing international teaching team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Science across different middle school grades, delivering engaging lessons that adhere to the American curriculum framework while helping students build their confidence and skills in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging Science lessons in line with the American curriculum
• Support students in developing inquiry, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• Employ student-centered teaching strategies that encourage exploration and scientific reasoning
• Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance science instruction
• Assess and monitor student progress through both formative and summative assessments
• Create a classroom atmosphere where students feel supported, challenged, and confident in their scientific skills
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve curriculum and teaching practices
• Participate in the wider school community through extracurricular activities and outreach programs

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field
• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Middle School Science
• Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Experience in an international school environment is preferred but not essential.
