Computing Teacher

We are seeking a skilled Computing Teacher who is committed to fostering an environment where students feel safe, happy, and successful. Our educational framework adheres to the National Curriculum of England for Key Stage 3, and we utilize the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science syllabus for Key Stage 4, with plans to introduce it at the A Level.

Our School

Located in Hatyai, southern Thailand, Bloomsbury International School Hatyai is a co-educational International Independent School that has been operating since 2014. We deliver a British-style curriculum to both day and boarding students. Our close-knit community serves around 200 students aged 2-18, with an average class size of 15. Key Criteria

The perfect candidate will:

• Be fluent in English.
• Hold Qualified Teacher status in the UK or possess a teaching license for computing or a related subject for students aged 11-18 in an English-speaking context.
• Have the knowledge and experience necessary to teach Computing up to A Level.
• Demonstrate professionalism with the capability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Be approachable, informed, and committed to high standards.
• Exhibit a caring attitude and a readiness to collaborate within a professional team.

Location

Hatyai, situated in southern Thailand, is just a 40-minute drive from the nearest beaches in Songkhla and is conveniently located near Krabi, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Koh Lipe, as well as Penang and Langkawi across the Malaysian border. The international airport offers 16 daily flights to Bangkok, along with regular connections to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, both easily accessible, allowing for exploration of the wider Asia region. It’s simple to spend weekends or holidays discovering this beautiful area.

Hatyai is a developing city with a lower cost of living when compared to other popular Thai destinations. The city features large western-style shopping centers and supermarkets, along with many bars and restaurants offering a diverse range of international cuisines, all while preserving a distinctly 'Thai' atmosphere. The local population is warm and welcoming, greeting newcomers with the famous Thai smile.
