GEMS Founders School, Dubai (GFS) commenced operations in September 2016, welcoming more than 1800 students from FS1 to Year 8. This launch marked the highest enrollment success in the history of GEMS Education. By September 2017, our student body expanded to over 3500, prompting the addition of Year 9. The following year, in September 2018, we introduced Year 10 and Year 12 (International GCSE and A Level curriculum), starting the academic year with 3800 students. In 2019, our enrollment peaked at 4260 students across Phases 1 and 2 of our initial facility. To accommodate further curriculum options, we expanded to Phase 3 in 2021. By 2022, we achieved full enrollment with 6139 students from FS1 to Year 13. Since our inception, we have cultivated a supportive educational atmosphere for both students and staff, adhering to the National Curriculum for England as well as the UAE Ministry of Education standards. As a British institution abroad representing over 100 nationalities, we prioritize the appreciation of diverse languages and cultural insights, using them to enhance the understanding of our community’s heritage, history, and beliefs. We have received a "Good" rating in two DSIB inspections, with the latest evaluation acknowledging some Outstanding attributes. Our British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation reflects Outstanding ratings across all standards, enabling us to provide the NQT, QTS, and iPGCE programs to our educators via the TES Institute.
