The Canadian School of Florence is a private, co-educational international institution catering to students aged 3 to 18. Established in 2017 with the launch of the Senior School in Florence, the school expanded by adding the Preschool and Elementary School in 2021, followed by the Middle School in 2022.
Adopting the Canadian Ontario curriculum, the school embraces a diverse community of international and local Italian students. Its small class sizes foster an inclusive educational environment, enabling each learner to cultivate values such as excellence, trust, integrity, fairness, and compassion.
The Preschool (Pre-Kindergarten, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten) and Elementary (Grades 1-5) facilities are situated in Fiesole, just under 2km from the Florence campus. The experiential learning program draws from the finest aspects of the Canadian curriculum (Ontario), while also incorporating Italian language preparation for the Italian programme (scuola paritaria) and applying the Reggio Emilia philosophy along with Jolly Phonics in the Preschool.
The Middle School is housed in a picturesque private villa in the Fiesole foothills, located a mere 1000 meters from the Elementary campus. It features a spacious outdoor garden and a newly developed sports pitch, focusing on STEM education, experiential learning, and collaborative projects.
The Senior School occupies a historic building in Florence and currently serves over 100 students from Grades 9 to 12, equipping them for entry into prestigious universities worldwide.
At the Canadian School of Florence, an inclusive learning atmosphere is prioritized, with educators and support staff committed to engaging students academically and emotionally. Teachers offer tailored instruction and individual attention, alongside empathetic interactions and hands-on experiential learning that stimulates curiosity, creativity, and innovative thought.
Students benefit from exciting field trips, excursions, and extracurricular activities that complement classroom learning.
The Canadian School of Florence is part of Globeducate, a premier global K12 education organization with over 55 schools across Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Canada, Andorra, Cyprus, and India. A core mission of Globeducate is to equip students to impact the world and recognize their role as global citizens. The bespoke gold standard quality program guarantees that Globeducate's 31,000 students receive the best possible start in their educational journey.
