Northview International School (NVIS) is seeking a passionate and student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our growing international team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The successful candidate will be tasked with teaching Upper Elementary grades, delivering engaging lessons that are in line with the American curriculum framework and helping students develop strong academic skills while fostering independence in their learning journey.

Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Designing and executing engaging lessons that comply with the American curriculum
  • Teaching core subjects such as English, Math, and Science
  • Utilizing student-centered teaching methods that encourage inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking
  • Integrating technology and hands-on learning opportunities to support active engagement
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress through both formative and summative evaluations
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and confident
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve curriculum development and teaching practices
  • Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and community engagement

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Upper Elementary grades
  • Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework
  • A dedication to student-centered and inquiry-based learning
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Experience in an international school setting is preferred but not required.
