About This Role
The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Curriculum Leader of Food Technology to lead and develop this key curriculum area. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner with a passion for Food Technology and a commitment to securing exceptional outcomes for all students.
As Curriculum Leader, you will provide strategic leadership for the department, driving excellence in teaching and learning, curriculum development and student achievement across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for creating a culture of high aspirations, innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring all students are inspired to develop their knowledge, skills and creativity whilst achieving their full potential. This role also presents an opportunity to lead a broad programme of enrichment activities, strengthen community partnerships and contribute significantly to the wider success of the academy.
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Has a proven track record of successful Food Technology teaching and securing strong outcomes at KS3 and KS4.
- Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
- Has the vision, ambition and leadership skills to drive strategic development within the department.
- Possesses a strong understanding of current curriculum developments and educational practice and can translate this into exceptional learning experiences.
- Can effectively use assessment and performance data to monitor progress and raise student achievement.
- Is committed to developing colleagues and fostering a collaborative culture of professional excellence.
- Has a passion for education and a determination to ensure every student succeeds, regardless of their starting point.
