  • Develop and assess individual education plans (IEPs) in partnership with teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with pastoral, academic, and specialist staff to enhance inclusive practices throughout the school.
  • Contribute to the strategic enhancement of inclusive provisions, including co-planning and professional development initiatives.
  • Work together with external agencies (e.g., psychologists, therapists) to ensure coordinated support for students.
  • Assist Years 9–11 students with access arrangements while ensuring compliance with JCQ and Cambridge regulations.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a recognized qualification in Special or Inclusive Education.

  • Has experience in co-teaching, flexible grouping, and differentiated instruction.
  • Values cultural responsiveness and has experience in international or multilingual settings.
  • Effectively collaborates with external professionals to support student well-being and learning.

Furthermore, the candidate will:

  • Work alongside interdisciplinary teams, including pastoral and academic staff, to enhance student learning and well-being through the creation of individual education plans for personalized pathways.
  • Collaborate with relevant staff and stakeholders to support the strategic development and implementation of effective and inclusive programming utilizing differentiated instruction, co-teaching, co-planning, and flexible grouping.
  • Participate in a larger team to make informed decisions and ensure continuity and alignment of services and transitions for all students receiving AEN services.
