Hours: Up to 37 hours (Mon-Fri), Part/Full Time
Working Pattern: Term Time + 1 week & 1 INSET day (September)
Salary: H5.9 £27,254 FTE (pro-rata)
Reporting to: Assistant Headteacher (SEND)

About the Role

We are seeking a committed SEN Family Liaison Officer to support students with SEND by working closely with families, staff, and external agencies. You will play a key role in ensuring effective communication, coordination of support, and smooth statutory processes.

Key Duties
  • Act as first point of contact for SEND-related queries
  • Support and guide families to appropriate services and staff
  • Organise parent meetings and support Year 7 transition
  • Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR
  • Coordinate EHCP reviews and ensure deadlines are met
  • Liaise with external agencies and support referrals
  • Deliver targeted SEND interventions (e.g. Social Stories)
What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong admin, organisation, and communication skills
  • Excellent record keeping and attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing

Desirable:

  • Experience in a school or similar role
  • Knowledge of SEND/EHCP processes
  • Experience with MIS systems (e.g. Arbor)

Compensation
