The British International School, Phuket (BISP) is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivating Secondary School Principal to become part of our leadership team. BISP stands as a prominent day and boarding institution, catering to students aged 2-18 from the international community across the Asia-Pacific region. The successful applicant will be instrumental in driving the ongoing success of our Secondary School by managing its educational, pastoral, and operational aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold exceptional standards of teaching and learning within the Secondary School, in accordance with the school's mission, core values, and strategic objectives.
• Supervise curriculum planning, execution, and evaluation, ensuring a seamless transition from Primary to Secondary School.
• Lead the Secondary Leadership Team and promote collaboration with other senior leaders.
• Oversee the academic and pastoral care of students, ensuring their overall development and well-being.
• Collaborate closely with the Extended Curriculum Coordinator to manage extracurricular programs and with the Head of Boarding for overseeing boarding operations.
• Ensure that all student reports, family communications, and school events align with the school's standards of excellence.
• Manage the recruitment, professional growth, and performance evaluation of Secondary staff.
• Oversee the academic budget and resources for the Secondary School.
• Foster strong relationships within the wider community, including partnerships with parents and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrated success in a senior leadership position, ideally within an international school environment.
• Significant experience in teaching and learning, preferably with expertise in the IGCSE and IBDP curricula.
• A collaborative leader with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in line with our school’s child protection policies.
• An innovative leader who is passionate about student well-being and the holistic growth of young individuals.
