About This Role

Established in 2005, Gulf British Academy is a BSO-accredited institution serving students from Pre-KG to Year 11. We have plans to progressively introduce an additional Year level each year, with the goal of evolving into a fully established 3-18 British International School.

Our recent transition to a modern, purpose-built facility showcases the ambition of our leadership and owners to strive for excellence. A key aspect of this vision is enhancing our ICT offerings.

To support this initiative, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Primary Computing/ICT Teacher to join our dedicated team of Specialist Subject Teachers. In appreciation of your contributions, we provide an exceptional package for qualified overseas staff that includes:

What you bring:

You have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 Computing curriculum and are a reflective practitioner capable of adapting your teaching methods to enhance student attainment while fostering confidence and independence in our learners.

Essential qualifications include:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in ICT or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of your subject area, demonstrated through your experience, enthusiasm, and ongoing professional development in teaching ICT.
- Proven UK teaching experience or international experience at a BSO-accredited school following a British curriculum.
- A track record of exceptional achievement in ICT and Computing across KS2.
- Outstanding assessment results in ICT and Computing.
- A commitment to safeguarding all students and ensuring equal opportunities for all students and staff.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and/or police check.

Desirable attributes:

- Certification in Google Workspace for Education.
- Familiarity and experience with Google Chrome device management.
- Awareness of initiatives such as Philosophy for Children and Growth Mindset.
