The British School of Angola (BSA) is on the lookout for an exceptional Primary and Secondary Computing Teacher (KS 2 to 5) to join our innovative, forward-looking team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver Engaging Lessons – Design and execute thought-provoking lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum (UK National Curriculum), ensuring each student achieves their potential.
- Support and Assess Student Progress – Employ innovative teaching methods and regular assessments to facilitate student learning, offering constructive feedback.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment – Cultivate a classroom atmosphere where students feel secure to explore, take risks, and achieve their best.
- Collaborate and Share Best Practices – Partner with colleagues throughout the school, contributing to curriculum enhancement and professional advancement.
- Contribute Beyond the Classroom – Actively engage in BSA’s co-curricular activities, including academic competitions, creative clubs, and sports.
- Engage with the School Community – Foster strong relationships with students and parents, ensuring each child feels appreciated and supported.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are in search of an exceptional educator who reflects our values of creativity, respect, responsibility, and pride. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in teaching, with experience in KS2 to 5
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a UK or British-curriculum educational setting
- A proven history of student achievement in international education
- A passion for inquiry-based, student-focused learning
- Familiarity with contemporary teaching methodologies and assessment techniques
- A dedication to holistic education that nurtures creativity, confidence, and responsibility
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within an international school environment
