The Role of the Assistant Head of School

In the role of Assistant Head of School, you will be instrumental in supporting the strategic vision and operational success of the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading data management efforts to assess and enhance student performance.
  • Developing and executing the Self-Evaluation Form (SEF) and the School Development Plan (SDP).
  • Overseeing the pastoral care program to ensure the welfare of all students.
  • Mentoring and supporting staff to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
  • Teaching a designated class while also having dedicated time off the timetable to fulfill leadership duties.
  • Assisting the Principal with various additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

To be eligible for this position, you must possess:

  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, or equivalent) along with a minimum of two years of leadership experience.
  • Proven familiarity with UK education standards and frameworks.
  • The ability to teach and lead effectively in a diverse and multicultural educational setting.
