Saint Too Bloom Academy is a forward-thinking secondary school situated in Hong Kong, dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and bilingual education. Our committed team of educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs has developed a mission to equip young individuals with the skills essential for thriving in an ever-changing world.
Since the establishment of our sister institution, Bloom KKCA Academy, in 2021, we have been pioneers in bilingual, interdisciplinary, and project-based learning, establishing collaborations across education, business, and social innovation. In 2024, we expanded our offerings with a secondary campus, providing Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programs alongside a tailored Key Stage 3 curriculum. We have also unveiled two new educational pathways—the HKDSE and a US-accredited project-based track—designed to meet the needs of diverse learners.
We are currently in search of dedicated educators who are committed to cultivating an inclusive learning environment that supports all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Our goal is to create a vibrant, nurturing, and effective educational atmosphere for developing learners.
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, skilled, and enthusiastic Secondary Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and execution of support systems for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This role primarily involves the efficient implementation and monitoring of personalized support provisions. Responsibilities include identifying student needs, developing and tracking Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and enrichment plans, as well as coordinating vital resources and intervention strategies to enhance student achievement and curriculum accessibility.
The SENCO will collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure that inclusive practices and differentiated instruction are integrated into the classroom. Furthermore, they will play a critical role within the Pastoral Care Team, addressing safeguarding and social-emotional needs, including the incorporation of executive functioning skills throughout the curriculum.
This position also requires collaboration with external specialists, management of documentation, and providing support to parents and caregivers through effective communication and meetings. The SENCO will ensure that all student support initiatives comply with school protocols, as well as the legal and safeguarding requirements established in Hong Kong.
