37 hours per week Term Time + 5 Training Days (negotiable)
Main duties and responsibilities:
Health Support Workers will support the medication, care and health needs of pupils with a range of medical needs across the school. The post holder will work alongside healthcare professionals and education staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
This post involves:
Preparing and administering medication
Preparing and administering gastro feeds
Maintaining accurate records in relation to medications and feeds and training
Liaising with the nursing team and class staff to arrange medical training
Supporting pupils’ healthcare
Supporting pupils with a range of medical needs, including complex, ongoing and emergency healthcare needs or needs required by specific pupils, in line with care plans, training and competency sign-off.
Supporting the personal care needs of pupils
Working in co-operation with other team members and health professionals
Being responsible for ordering, stocktaking and replenishing first aid supplies across the school
