Position: Head of Geography

Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA

Hours: The role will entail teaching between 0.8 and a full timetable

Start date: 1 September 2026

The closing date for applications is Monday 20th April at 8:00am

Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 27th April

While the intended start date for this role is 1 September, we are open to a January start for the ideal candidate.

We seek a dynamic and inspiring Head of Geography to lead the department at Badminton.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for leading and managing the Geography department
• Ensuring Geography is taught in an engaging and challenging way, allowing each pupil to reach her full potential
• Contributing to the teaching of the department as per the timetable
• Developing suitable specifications, materials, and schemes of work
• Representing the department in all curriculum-related matters during Head of Department and full staff meetings

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this position, we are looking for candidates who possess:

• A good degree or equivalent qualification
• Excellent subject knowledge
• Experience working with young people
• The ability to inspire, lead, and manage a team
