The Role
We are in search of a motivating and skilled Art Teacher to engage and inspire students from Year 5 to Year 8. This is an excellent opportunity to join our expanding network of schools and to help students build their creativity and artistic confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Art lessons following the British curriculum.
• Develop and implement engaging, creative, and challenging lesson plans.
• Participate in curriculum development and collaborative lesson planning efforts.
• Encourage experimentation with various media, techniques, and artistic styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating educational environment.
• Contribute to exhibitions, competitions, and the wider extracurricular activities of the school.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) from a UK university.
• A degree specializing in Fine Art or Art and Design.
• Experience teaching Art within a British curriculum setting.
• Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development.
• High motivation for teaching, coupled with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable:
• Proven teaching experience in the UK.
• Experience supporting students transitioning into Key Stage 3 and beyond.
• Ability to contribute to an additional subject or enrichment activity.
• Recent experience in a UK or international school environment.
