We are in search of a passionate and talented Art Mentor to deliver inspiring and inclusive artistic experiences for both Primary and Secondary phases. This role is centered on unlocking creativity, nurturing self-expression, and helping students uncover their artistic identities.Key Responsibilities:Create and execute engaging art experiences that are suitable for various ages, welcoming, and aligned with educational objectives.Foster creativity and confidence in students through the exploration of diverse media, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital tools.Cultivate a nurturing and open studio environment where students feel empowered to experiment and express themselves freely.Provide mentorship to students individually and in groups to develop their technical skills and creative thinking.Organize, coordinate, and present exhibitions, displays, and collaborative art projects within the school and the wider community.Collaborate with fellow mentors to connect art with overarching learning themes and interdisciplinary projects.Offer constructive feedback and track student progress through both formative and summative assessments.Promote and embody the school’s values, nurturing curiosity, empathy, and resilience through artistic pursuits.Stay updated on current art trends and innovative teaching and mentoring practices.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Teaching qualification or relevant experience in a mentorship-oriented educational setting.Experience working with both primary and secondary age groups.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide students of all abilities.Proficient in a range of traditional and contemporary art forms, including digital media.A reflective practitioner with a growth mindset and a passion for lifelong learning.Desirable:Experience with exhibitions, art showcases, or leading creative initiatives.Knowledge of child-centered, project-based learning methodologies.Familiarity with digital tools for creating and documenting artwork.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit the following documents:Completed Citizens Application FormCurrent CV with a recent photographCover letter outlining your suitability for the positionApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged.
