Tessa International School is an expanding, high-quality bilingual institution situated in Hoboken, New Jersey, only one stop from Manhattan. We provide three language immersion programs—Spanish, French, and Mandarin—and hold accreditation from the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the French Ministry of Education. Additionally, we are recognized as a model school by NAIS.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reflective, and committed Early Childhood educators to join our team and support our youngest learners as they develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a bilingual, inquiry-based setting.
As an English Primary Lead Teacher, you will alternate teaching two primary classes alongside a target language Lead Teacher. By becoming a part of our lively educational community, you will significantly contribute to the learning experiences of our students, emphasizing academic success and social-emotional growth.
•
Design and implement engaging, well-organized lessons that link classroom learning to real-world situations, igniting enthusiasm and promoting academic excellence in accordance with IB and state standards.
•
Differentiate instruction through a range of developmentally appropriate teaching and assessment techniques to cater to all learners.
•
Support and monitor the academic, emotional, and social growth of students.
•
Uphold high expectations for student conduct to create a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
•
Incorporate technology meaningfully to enhance the learning experiences of students.
•
Build a strong sense of community by actively engaging with students, colleagues, and families.
•
Work collaboratively with colleagues, leadership, and staff throughout the school.
•
Commit to ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
•
Engage in curriculum development, team planning, and faculty meetings.
•
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
•
Fluency in English
•
Authorization to work in the U.S.
•
Master’s degree in Education or a related field preferred
•
At least 3 years of experience in Elementary/Primary education
•
Preferred experience with the IB PYP and/or dual language programs
