Shenzhen College of International Education: Established in 2003, SCIE stands as Shenzhen’s inaugural full-time high school (Year 10 to Year 13) offering an international curriculum. This selective day and boarding institution caters to Chinese students aiming for higher education abroad. SCIE employs English as the primary language for instruction and communication, providing IGCSE and GCE AS and A-levels, primarily through Cambridge International, and is further enhancing its offerings with the addition of an AP stream. The school holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Accrediting Commission for Schools (ACS WASC). Additionally, SCIE is affiliated with regional organizations such as EARCOS and FOBISIA. The College's mission is to foster an educational environment that is both challenging and international, promoting academic excellence while nurturing social responsibility, creativity, independence, and enthusiasm, thereby equipping each student for future opportunities. Students at SCIE have ambitions of gaining admission to prestigious universities abroad. The Class of 2024 garnered 48 offers from Oxbridge, and 90% of students applying to the UK received offers from G5 universities, alongside exceptional offers from leading US universities and liberal arts colleges, including Chicago, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Columbia, and Cornell. SCIE boasts a diverse faculty hailing from over 20 nations, including the UK, New Zealand, the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Brazil, India, Ireland, South Africa, and Spain. Currently, the college employs more than 200 full-time educators and 88 administrative personnel. In August 2020, the College transitioned to a newly constructed campus in Antuoshan, Shenzhen. This modern facility is fully equipped to support the College's growth, featuring smart classrooms, numerous science laboratories, a 750-seat theater, sports amenities, and all necessary resources to promote high-quality teaching and learning within the College community. The top floor, which includes a staff lounge, gym, and designated meeting and continuing professional development areas, is accessible exclusively to staff members. Faculty accommodations are provided in a separate adjacent staff block, which includes furnished two and three-bedroom apartments. Antuoshan is located in Futian, Shenzhen's central business district. The campus is conveniently situated within walking distance of international shops, supermarkets, and restaurants, and is just a short walk from the Antuo Hill subway station, offering easy access to the city's comprehensive metro network.
