St. Anne’s School

Recruiting Institution

View Full School Profile & Vacancies
St. Anne's School, founded in 1969, is an independent co-educational institution that delivers a British-style education to children aged three to eighteen in Madrid. Situated in one of Madrid’s most desirable and esteemed residential neighborhoods, the school is located on Avenida Alfonso XIII, catering to students from Nursery (Age 3) through Year 11 (Age 15), as well as offering programs for older students in "Bachillerato." Dedicated to excellence in education, St. Anne’s School provides a diverse range of academic, social, cultural, and sporting experiences designed to help each student reach their fullest potential. The school emphasizes the importance of recognizing and valuing excellence, fostering reasoned attitudes, beliefs, and values, respecting various cultures and religions, striving for success, and upholding high standards of conduct and work. We prioritize achievement through fostering positive relationships between staff and students, maintaining a safe, joyful, and disciplined atmosphere, enhancing collaboration with parents and the broader community, and ensuring the recruitment and development of a dedicated, experienced faculty. Our primary objective is to equip students with the self-respect, independence, and motivation necessary to embrace the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of adulthood, enabling them to actively contribute to society. Currently, St. Anne’s School enrolls five hundred students, the majority of whom are Spanish, alongside children from various European nations and both North and South America. The curriculum offered is comprehensive and aligned with the British National Curriculum requirements. Additionally, as is customary in International Schools, significant emphasis is placed on the Spanish Language and Literature, Spanish Social Studies, and cultural traditions, which are essential components of our students' heritage. We welcome students from all religious backgrounds, providing weekly classes in religious and moral education at all levels. The Religious Education and Pastoral Care Department also facilitates preparation for students' First Holy Communion and Confirmation. St. Anne’s School is affiliated with the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS) and is subject to inspections by both this organization and the Spanish Ministry of Education.
