Please note that Post 2 is a student-specific appointment and is dependent upon the continued requirement to provide support for the individual student. The post is currently expected to continue until 31 July 2027. If the student leaves Hurworth School before this date, the requirement for the role will cease and the fixed-term contract may end earlier

We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and ambitious team at Hurworth School. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that every student receives the support, encouragement and challenge they need to succeed.
Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support teams, you will:
Support students with additional needs within lessons, small group interventions and one-to-one settings.
Help implement and monitor personalised learning and support plans.
Promote student independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
Contribute to an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Build positive relationships with students, families and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.

We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with young people in an educational or support setting.
Has a good understanding of SEND, additional needs and barriers to learning.
Demonstrates patience, empathy and resilience.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
Is committed to helping every student achieve their full potential.
