Job Role
To deliver high-quality Physical Education in line with the curriculum, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles among students ranging from Foundation Stage to Year 11. Candidates should also embody the MARK values, which are integral to the school.
Job Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Deliver high-quality PE lessons across key stages in line with British curriculum standards.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including gifted athletes and those requiring additional support.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to students and parents.
Demonstrate strong teaching practice and contribute positively to the development of the PE department.
Contribute to long term planning changes that are adapted to the needs of pupils and the learning environment.
Candidates who are able are qualified to teach swimming are preferred but this is not a requirement.
Team Contribution & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the PE team to support the delivery of a broad and balanced sports programme.
Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school events.
Support the organisation of fixtures, competitions, and extracurricular sports activities - experience of working with DASSA preferred but not essential.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
Good sense of humour vital for the role!
Parent & Community Engagement
Build positive relationships with parents through regular communication and engagement.
Represent the school positively in the community and support events that promote school values.
Compliance & Administration
Ensure compliance with KHDA requirements, school policies, and procedures.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for inspections and reviews.
Support the effective and responsible use of sports facilities and resources
Professional Development & Accountability
Participate actively in the school’s CPD and appraisal programmes.
Work closely with colleagues to support whole-school development priorities.
Stay informed on educational trends and updates relevant to the British curriculum and UAE guidelines.
Report directly to the Head of department and contribute to the continued development of the PE provision.
