About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate female teacher of Physical Education to join our outstanding PE department. Using your motivational skills and subject expertise, you will inspire students to develop a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and healthy living. You will be confident in developing practical performance, correcting misconceptions, and supporting students to achieve their full potential across a range of physical activities. You will uphold our high expectations for behaviour, ensuring a calm, purposeful, and inclusive environment in all lessons.
A suitable candidate will be:
Able to plan and deliver engaging and impactful PE lessons across a range of sports and extra curricular activities
Confident with KS3 and KS4 PE (with opportunities at KS5 depending on experience)
Able to teach a broad and balanced curriculum, including practical and theoretical elements.
Passionate about promoting participation, teamwork, and wellbeing
Friendly, collaborative, and keen to contribute to a supportive team culture
Confident in applying behaviour policies consistently and assertively
Committed to professional development and training opportunities
Up to date with strategies to support all students, including EAL, PP, and SEND learners
Willing to contribute to extra-curricular sport and enrichment opportunities
Keen to contribute to wider life of the school, including taking responsibility for coordinating resources and activities for a history month

About the department
The PE department has a strong track record of success, supported by a well-structured and fully resourced curriculum. Outcomes at KS4 have been consistently strong, with results above the national average in recent years. This success is driven by collaboratively planned schemes of work, shared resources, and a centralised approach to lesson planning, reducing workload and ensuring consistency across the department.
