Teacher of Art ( 1 Year fixed term contract)

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our successful Art Department on a 12-month fixed-term basis. Art is a popular and successful subject at Shevington High School, delivered across KS3 and KS4, and the department also offers GCSE Photography. We are looking for someone who shares our ambition to build on the successes of the team and provide an excellent experience for our students.

The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality Art teaching across KS3 and KS4. Experience of teaching Photography would be an advantage but is not essential. Our curriculum is well established and comprehensively resourced, with schemes of work, lesson materials and supporting resources in place. We are looking for a teacher who will make effective use of these resources while bringing their own creativity and expertise to the classroom and working collaboratively with colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality Art teaching across KS3 and KS4.
• Using and adapting the department’s established curriculum and resources to meet the needs of all students.
• Supporting students to achieve strong outcomes through effective teaching, assessment and intervention.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success and development of the Art Department.
• Contributing to enrichment and extracurricular opportunities within the department.
