We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist to join our passionate, whānau-focused Learning Support team in Masterton, where we work together to shape an education system that delivers equitable and excellent outcomes for all learners.

This permanent, full-time role offers a unique opportunity to support tamariki and rangatahi across the region. You will work closely with whānau, communities, early childhood providers/Kōhanga Reo, schools/kura, Kura Kaupapa Māori and other Māori Medium settings to strengthen inclusive practices, raise student achievement, and deliver on community aspirations.

As Speech Language Therapist, you will:

  • Enhance inclusive practices in educational settings
  • Provide specialist assessment, analysis and evidence-informed interventions
  • Build the capability of teachers, kaiako and families to support ākonga.
  • Work collaboratively in a trans-disciplinary team to support learners with complex needs
  • Contribute to individual casework, targeted group initiatives and systems-level mahi

Salary range: $69,966-$106,016 per annum plus 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy (NZSTA-recognised) or equivalent
  • Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • A full driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the region
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct
