We are currently seeking an experienced Performing Arts Teacher specializing in Music and Drama to join our High/Secondary School department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to teach Drama and Theatre Studies within our vibrant Performing Arts program.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver high-quality Music and Drama lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and well-sequenced, supporting creativity, performance skills, and academic progress across year groups.
Set purposeful learning tasks and assignments, and mark student work promptly, giving clear feedback that helps students improve technique, confidence, and performance quality.
Assess student learning using effective formative and summative approaches, tracking progress over time and adapting teaching to meet different needs and abilities.
Communicate, consult, and collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to support each student’s best interests, ensuring consistent support for learning, wellbeing, and participation.
Lead an engaging after-school drama or music club, broadening participation, developing performance opportunities, and strengthening students’ enjoyment and confidence in the performing arts.
Support school priorities through additional duties as required from time to time, demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to contributing beyond the classroom.
Prepare students for performances, showcases, and events, including rehearsals, production planning, and coordination of technical needs where appropriate.
Contribute to curriculum development and resource planning within the department, sharing best practice and supporting consistent standards across classes and productions.
Promote an inclusive performing arts culture, ensuring opportunities for all learners (including EAL/SEND where relevant) and encouraging positive participation and collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS
A university degree in Drama , Education or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching role within an international school program.
Expertise in international curricula, particularly American (AP) and British (IGCSE/A-Level) systems, with experience delivering sport at exam level.
Demonstrable success in performing Arts at school, regional, or international levels.
Proven record of performances, showcases, and events, including rehearsals, production planning,
Strategic vision, operational acumen, and exceptional organizational skills.
