At Octavia House Schools, we have a passionate team delivering high-quality trauma-centred therapeutic education, supporting and building relationships with pupils who have adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as other associated special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We provide a specialist educational setting, we proactively welcome enquiries from both experienced mainstream and specialist colleagues, from varying disciplines, who would like to extend their skill base.
As we continue to grow and open new schools, we are now looking to expand our fantastic teams at our schools across London & Essex.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Depending on your role, responsibilities Octavia House Schools have been leading the way in therapeutic education since 2012. Recent Independent School Inspectorate’s routine and material change inspections of our London and Essex schools were successful and highlighted a rare significant strength. This is in addition to our previous outstanding Ofsted reports which demonstrate the strength of our provision across all sites and the success of our specialist therapeutic approach.

The responsibilities in our roles may include:
Upholding the schools’ relationships-first approach, policies and procedures to support positive behaviour and long-term outcomes
Delivering high-quality, engaging teaching or therapeutic interventions aligned with the OHS curriculum and therapeutic framework
Creating and maintaining calm, safe, well-managed environments where relationships and emotional regulation are prioritised
Working collaboratively within a seamless therapeutic team model
Assessing and monitoring pupils’ academic, social and emotional progress using OHS assessment tools
Producing clear, meaningful reports for families and placing authorities
