Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Teaching & Learning

• Develop, prepare, and deliver captivating lessons in Mathematics and Physics that are in line with the school's curriculum.
• Employ a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels.
• Integrate language learning objectives with the content of Mathematics and Physics to improve academic language skills in both subjects.
• Effectively leverage educational technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

2. Assessment & Reporting

• Design and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress in Mathematics and Physics.
• Provide prompt, constructive, and actionable feedback to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student accomplishments and generate comprehensive student reports.
• Analyze assessment data to inform future teaching practices and intervention strategies.

3. Classroom Management & Student Support

• Create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and stimulating learning atmosphere.
• Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior and classroom guidelines.
• Identify and address the individual learning needs of each student, including those who need additional challenges or support.

4. Professional & Community Engagement

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across both academic and administrative areas.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, school-wide training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress.
• Contribute to the wider school community by taking part in events, clubs, or committees.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics/Physics, or a closely related field.

Experience

• A minimum of two years of teaching experience in Mathematics and Physics.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in German at a native or near-native level.
• Proficiency in English sufficient for collaboration, reporting, and communication within the school setting.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong subject matter expertise in both Mathematics and Physics.
• Outstanding classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with standard educational technologies and platforms.
