About This Role

Yas School is currently seeking to recruit a high-performing Lead Teacher (Literacy) to join our team in August 2026 for the AY 2026-2027 or sooner if possible.

At Yas School, we deliver the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum and have a special focus on inclusive education, enrichment and preparing future ready learners. Founded in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government school educating 1750+ girls and boys on our extensive campus.

We are seeking a proven practitioner, with expertise in UK or US curricula, and ideally experience with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum.

As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for leading whole-school and/or cycle specific initiatives within the following areas aligned to your area of expertise: instructional leadership, curriculum development, monitoring and assessment, professional development, communication and integration of technology.

The successful candidate should:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Graduate Diploma in Education

• Master’s Degree in Education/Educational Leadership or a related field is an advantage

• Proficiency in English (demonstrated by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent)

• Bilingual skills (English & Arabic) are highly desirable

• UAE Certified Teaching License/ equivalent, or working towards attainment

• At least 4 years of classroom teaching experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an academic middle leadership role

• Proven experience in formal or informal leadership focused on improving student achievement
