Head of Geography (Maternity Cover)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for the Geography department, setting high expectations for teaching, learning, achievement and behaviour in line with the Academy's vision and priorities.
• Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of an ambitious and knowledge-rich Geography curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students and secures strong progress and outcomes.
• Ensure students have high levels of achievement through high standards and intervention when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with middle and senior leaders across the Academy to contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and strategic development.
• Promote Geography across the Academy, fostering a culture of curiosity, participation and academic excellence within the subject.
