The Post
Rugby School Dubai is on the hunt for an outstanding educator and leader to assume the role of Head of Business Studies and Economics. This position will be responsible for the strategic oversight, promotion, and management of this essential department, which is expected to become one of the leading programs in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity for an existing head of department or a talented and motivated educator looking to advance their career. The role is a significant middle leadership position within the school, and we seek a candidate with the relevant experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification, typically obtained from a British university.
• Have a minimum of three years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
• Possess a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Be capable of teaching A Level Business Studies and Economics (currently Oxford AQA IAL for Business Studies and Edexcel IAL for Economics).
• Demonstrate experience in leading teams effectively.
• Place students at the forefront of their teaching approach.
• Show a genuine passion for professional development.
• Be willing to engage fully in the school community, contributing to our pastoral system and co-curricular activities.
