Northview International School (NVIS) is seeking a passionate and student-centered Middle / High School Mathematics Teacher to join our growing international faculty in Doha, Qatar.

We are looking for an educator who is committed to helping students develop strong mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across middle and high school grade levels, delivering engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum framework and supporting students in building confidence and competence in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the American curriculum

  • Supporting students in developing problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills

  • Using student-centered instructional practices that encourage exploration and mathematical thinking

  • Integrating technology and digital tools to support mathematical learning

  • Assessing and monitoring student progress through formative and summative assessment

  • Creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and confident in mathematics

  • Collaborating with colleagues to strengthen curriculum and instructional practices

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and community engagement

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field

  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)

  • Experience teaching Middle School and/or High School Mathematics

  • Experience with or training in an American curriculum framework

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Experience in an international school setting is desirable but not essential.
