About This Role
G E N E R A L D E S C R I P T I O N
RIS seeks an enthusiastic and engaging ES Upper Elementary Teacher (Grade 5) who will lead, inspire, and promote student learning. The applicant should be knowledgeable about upper elementary school student development, subject-area content, and best practices in an inquiry-based approach, differentiation, and assessing student learning. Additionally, the applicant should have experience with collaborative curriculum designs and be well-versed in unit development using backward planning. The applicant will collaborate with department team members, school leaders, and the curriculum coordinator to ensure that instruction meets the needs of each student.

•Able to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
•Able to differentiate instruction for all learners

•Able to develop and deliver successful academic programs
•Participated in current and relevant professional development in teaching and learning
•Experienced in using technology tools in teaching upper elementary
•Knowledgeable of Google Suite
•Experienced using standards-based assessment, grading, and reporting
•Willing to work in a multicultural environment
Q u a l i f i c a t i o n s & r e q u i r e m e n t s
•Current elementary school license or certification for teaching upper elementary with a Master’s degree in a related field preferred
•Minimum of two years of experience as an upper elementary teacher in an accredited elementary school
