About This Role

Westminster Academy has a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and dedicated Education Welfare Officer to play a keyrole in promoting positive attitudes towards regular school attendance on the part of students and their parents/carers. Thisis an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to improving student outcomes, supporting families, and promotingexcellent attendance and engagement. You will be a key member of our pastoral team, working closely with the VicePrincipal for Behaviour & Safeguarding, the Attendance Officers, Pastoral Support Workers, SLT, and external agencies toensure that every student is supported to thrive.

Our ideal Education Welfare Officer will be a highly organised, detail-oriented professional with excellent communicationskills. If you’re passionate about leading on the strategic and operational management of attendance and engagement,ensuring that all students are safe, present and fully able to access their education, we would love to hear from you.

What we are looking for:

- Previous experience of working in a school or educational setting.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work effectively under pressure.

- Experience analysing data, producing reports and identifying key trends.

- A strong understanding of statutory guidance relating to attendance, safeguarding, and child and family wellbeing.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive and professional relationships withpupils, parents/carers and colleagues.

Compensation

£30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS Scale)
