ECE Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and motivated qualified ECE teacher to join our team for a 1-year maternity cover at Little Pinecone Preschool.

Our centre is a small, community-based service with a close-knit team that values strong relationships, collaboration, and high-quality early childhood education. We are committed to creating a warm, respectful environment where tamariki, kaiako, and whānau feel welcomed and supported.

The role

This fixed-term position will run for approximately 1 year to cover maternity leave. In this role, you will work closely with the teaching team to support the day-to-day learning and care of tamariki, contribute to curriculum planning and assessment, and maintain the high-quality practices valued within our centre.

As part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the learning programme, share your professional knowledge, and build meaningful relationships with children and their whānau.

About you

• You are a qualified and registered ECE teacher in New Zealand.
• You bring solid teaching experience and confidence in supporting children’s learning and development.
• You are collaborative, approachable, and enjoy working as part of a small team.
• You value strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues.
• You are organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high professional standards.

Applicants must currently have the legal right to work in New Zealand. At the stage, we are only considering applications from candidates currently based in New Zealand.
