Salary: Cambridgeshire Scale 4, Points 7–11, £26,403 to £28,142.

This post is advertised at the pre-NJC pay award salary rate. The successful candidate’s salary will be adjusted in line with the agreed 2026/27 pay award once implemented.

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time position – 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus one week).

Part-time position – 28.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus one week), working Monday to Friday, 07:45–13:30 each day.

Expected Start Date: 16ᵗʰ November 2026, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Interview Date: Week commencing Monday 12ᵗʰ October 2026.

Role overview:

Anglian Learning is pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and committed Early Years Practitioners to join the team at Marleigh Primary Academy. We have one full-time and one part-time position available and are looking for the right people to join us as our school continues to grow.

Working as part of our Early Years team, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning and development and helping to create a happy, stimulating and nurturing environment in which every child feels they belong and can thrive. You will build high-quality relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers and contribute positively to the wider life of the academy.

This role is open for flexible working discussions. Please indicate in your application whether you would like to be considered for the full-time position, the part-time position, or both.

The successful candidates will:

  • have experience of working with young children in an Early Years or similar setting
  • hold a Level 3 Early Years education and childcare qualification
  • bring enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine commitment to children’s learning and development
  • be adaptable, highly motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
