At The Telford Langley School, we have an exceptional opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead a priority that is fundamental to every pupil’s success: behaviour and the climate for learning.
We are seeking an accomplished, values-led and highly visible Deputy Headteacher to provide strategic leadership for behaviour and the climate for learning. The successful candidate will lead a clear, ambitious and intelligently consistent approach to behaviour, sanctions, rewards and pastoral support, strengthening relationships and securing sustained improvement for all pupils, particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.
This is a high-impact role for a leader with excellent professional judgement, a strong track record of whole-school improvement and the credibility to inspire staff, pupils, families and external partners.
You will combine strategic thinking with strong operational grip. You will develop confident and consistent practice across the workforce, use behaviour and pastoral data intelligently, strengthen support and intervention, work effectively with families and external agencies, and build a culture in which pupils feel known, respected and ready to learn.
The successful candidate will be:
An experienced senior leader with a proven record of whole-school improvement,
Able to demonstrate measurable impact in behaviour, pastoral leadership or the climate for learning,
A strategic thinker with the operational grip to secure consistent practice across the school,
A calm, credible and highly visible leader who combines compassion with high expectations,
Skilled in using behaviour and pastoral data to evaluate impact, target support and drive improvement,
Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, families, governors and external agencies,
Committed to safeguarding, inclusive education and excellent outcomes for every pupil.
